Math Instructor/Tutor

Mathnasium seeks a Part-time Math Instructor/Tutor to provide individualized K-12 math instruction using the Mathnasium Method. You'll assess students, follow customized learning plans, and deliver engaging in-center sessions that build skills and confidence. Responsibilities include guiding students through problem-solving, explaining concepts clearly, tracking progress, and collaborating with the center team. Ideal candidates are strong in math, patient, and enthusiastic about helping kids succeed in a supportive, student-centered environment with flexible part-time hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized math instruction to K-12 students using the Mathnasium Method
• Administer and interpret student assessments to identify learning needs
• Follow customized learning plans and adjust instruction as needed
• Explain math concepts clearly and support problem-solving step by step
• Monitor, record, and communicate student progress to the center director
• Maintain a focused, positive, and safe learning environment in the center
• Collaborate with other instructors to ensure consistent instructional quality
• Support occasional online tutoring sessions as needed
• Attend training on Mathnasium curriculum and instructional methods
• Model a positive attitude toward math to build student confidence
