Math Instructor/Tutor

Mathnasium seeks a Math Instructor/Tutor to provide individualized math instruction to K-12 students using the Mathnasium Method. In this role, you will assess student skills, follow personalized learning plans, and deliver engaging, clear explanations that build understanding and confidence. You will support small-group and one-on-one sessions, track progress, and communicate effectively with the center director and team. Ideal candidates are strong in math, enjoy working with children, and thrive in a collaborative, student-centered environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized and small-group math instruction to K-12 students using the Mathnasium Method
• Assess student skills and support creation/following of personalized learning plans
• Explain math concepts clearly and adapt instruction to different learning styles
• Monitor and record student progress and attendance accurately
• Maintain an engaging, orderly, and supportive learning environment
• Collaborate with the center director and team on student goals and instructional approaches
• Communicate professionally with students and staff regarding student needs and growth
• Implement Mathnasium curriculum, materials, and instructional procedures consistently
• Support both in-person (and online, if applicable) tutoring sessions
• Uphold safety, confidentiality, and center policies at all times.
