Middlesex Health is seeking a Radiology Coordinator to support our integrated imaging services in Middletown, CT. In this patient-centered role, you will coordinate radiology and imaging schedules, manage patient registration and insurance verification, and maintain accurate documentation in EHR, RIS, and PACS systems. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and optimize scheduling for radiology and imaging appointments.
  • Serve as primary contact for patients regarding imaging preparation, check-in, and follow-up.
  • Verify insurance, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure accurate registration.
  • Maintain and update information in EHR, RIS, and PACS systems.
  • Communicate daily with technologists, radiologists, and nursing staff to support smooth workflow.
  • Monitor patient flow and adjust schedules to minimize delays and improve access.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, safety, and departmental policies.
  • Track and reconcile imaging orders, reports, and documentation for completeness.
  • Support quality improvement and process innovation initiatives within radiology.
