Registered Nurse OR Ortho

Intermountain Health seeks a Registered Nurse for the Operating Room to deliver safe, evidence-based perioperative care in a fast-paced surgical environment. The OR RN will serve as circulating and/or scrub nurse, performing thorough assessments, maintaining sterile technique, administering medications, and documenting in the EHR. Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative care as circulating and/or scrub nurse for a variety of surgical procedures
• Perform thorough pre- and intraoperative patient assessments and advocate for patient safety and comfort
• Prepare, maintain, and monitor sterile field, instruments, and equipment according to infection prevention standards
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and accurately document in the EHRCollaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the OR team to ensure efficient case flow
• Participate in patient and family education and coordinate smooth transitions of care
• Follow regulatory, hospital, and departmental policies and quality standards
• Engage in continuous improvement, staff education, and adherence to evidence-based best practices
