Intermountain Health seeks a Forensic Nurse Examiner to provide trauma-informed medical and forensic care to victims of violence within our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you'll perform specialized assessments, collect and preserve evidence, document findings, and collaborate closely with law enforcement, advocacy groups, and interdisciplinary teams. Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive forensic exams for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other trauma
  • Collect, document, and preserve forensic evidence following chain-of-custody standards
  • Deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered medical care and emotional support
  • Document findings in detail and prepare clear, legally defensible reports
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and advocacy organizations
  • Provide expert testimony in court as needed
  • Participate in on-call coverage and rapid response to forensic cases
  • Educate patients and families about medical findings, safety planning, and resources
  • Support quality improvement, research, and protocol development in forensic services
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training
