Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive forensic exams for victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, and other trauma
- Collect, document, and preserve forensic evidence following chain-of-custody standards
- Deliver trauma-informed, patient-centered medical care and emotional support
- Document findings in detail and prepare clear, legally defensible reports
- Collaborate with law enforcement, social services, and advocacy organizations
- Provide expert testimony in court as needed
- Participate in on-call coverage and rapid response to forensic cases
- Educate patients and families about medical findings, safety planning, and resources
- Support quality improvement, research, and protocol development in forensic services
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training
