Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based emergency nursing care to diverse patient populations across all acuity levels
- Perform rapid triage, ongoing assessment, and implement physician-ordered treatments and interventions
- Administer medications, start IVs, and manage cardiac and respiratory monitoring equipment
- Respond to trauma activations, codes, and other emergent situations as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate closely with physicians and allied health professionals to coordinate patient care and disposition
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHR in a timely manner
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, discharge plans, and follow-up care
- Follow strict infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards to ensure a safe care environment
- Support quality improvement, evidence-based practice projects, and departmental initiatives
- Participate in ongoing professional development, competencies, and required certifications
