Furniture Service Tech

Rooms To Go is hiring a Furniture Service Tech to support our large-scale retail and delivery operations. In this hands-on role, you'll inspect, assemble, and repair furniture in our showrooms, warehouses, and customer homes, ensuring every piece meets company quality and safety standards. You'll handle touch-ups, upholstery and frame repairs, hardware replacements, and adjustments using hand and power tools. Working closely with sales, customer service, and logistics teams, you'll troubleshoot issues, document repairs, and communicate clearly with customers in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair customer furniture issues in-store, in-warehouse, and at customer homes
• Assemble and adjust new furniture to company quality and safety standards
• Perform touch-ups, upholstery fixes, and structural repairs using hand and power tools
• Document service work, parts used, and repair outcomes in company systems
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding issues, expectations, and care instructions
• Coordinate with sales, customer service, and warehouse teams to resolve service tickets
• Follow company procedures for parts ordering, returns, and warranty claims
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and service vehicle
• Adhere to safety protocols when lifting, loading, and handling furniture
• Support peak retail and delivery periods with flexible scheduling and teamwork
