Lead Teacher

The Learning Experience in Miramar, FL is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide classroom learning for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers. In this role, you will implement a play-based curriculum that builds early literacy, math, and social-emotional skills. You will create a warm, secure classroom environment, maintain safety and cleanliness standards, and manage daily routines. The Lead Teacher models best practices, mentors assistant staff, and partners closely with families through daily communication and conferences. You will document developmental progress, support behavior guidance, and collaborate with coworkers to promote each child's school readiness and overall wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement play-based early childhood curriculum aligned with learning goals
• Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Lead classroom routines, activities, and transitions for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers
• Observe and document children's developmental progress and prepare reports
• Communicate regularly with families about child progress and classroom events
• Support positive behavior guidance and social-emotional skill development
• Train, mentor, and guide assistant teachers and classroom aides
• Ensure compliance with licensing, health, and safety regulations
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and learning materials
• Collaborate with center leadership and colleagues on school readiness initiatives
