Assistant Teacher

The Learning Experience in Mesa, AZ seeks an Assistant Teacher to support high quality early childhood education in our daycare, preschool, and pre-K classrooms. You will help implement our structured curriculum, supervise children to ensure safety, and foster social, emotional, and academic growth in a nurturing environment. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson activities, classroom preparation, behavior guidance, and daily routines such as meals and rest time. You will communicate positively with families, collaborate with lead teachers, maintain a clean, organized classroom, and participate in ongoing training to grow your career in early childhood education.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in delivering age-appropriate lessons and activities for daycare, preschool, and pre-K children
• Support children's social, emotional, and academic development in a nurturing, child-centered environment
• Supervise children at all times to ensure health, safety, and adherence to center policies
• Prepare, organize, and clean classroom spaces, learning materials, and activity areas
• Assist with daily routines, including arrival, meals, toileting support, and rest time transitions
• Use positive behavior guidance strategies and model respectful interactions
• Communicate professionally and warmly with families about children's daily experiences as directed by lead teachers
• Collaborate with center staff to support a cohesive, team-oriented environment
• Document observations of children's participation and development for teacher reference
• Participate in ongoing training on curriculum, safety, and early childhood best practices
