Lead Teacher

The Learning Experience Corp in Wayne, NJ seeks a Lead Teacher to guide daily classroom operations for infants through preschoolers. The Lead Teacher will implement a curriculum-based program that supports early literacy, math, and social-emotional growth while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. Responsibilities include planning engaging lessons, maintaining classroom routines, observing and documenting child progress, and supporting school readiness. The role also involves collaborating with assistant teachers, communicating regularly with families, and modeling The Learning Experience's values of safety, positivity, and continuous learning for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver curriculum-based lessons for infants through preschoolers
• Create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment
• Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
• Collaborate with assistant teachers and center leadership on daily operations
• Communicate regularly with families about child progress and classroom activities
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards
• Implement center policies, health, and safety procedures
• Support school readiness skills including early literacy and numeracy
• Participate in professional development and continuous learning activities
