Assistant Teacher

The Learning Experience Corp in Wayne, NJ seeks an Assistant Teacher to support high-quality early childhood education for infants through preschoolers. The Assistant Teacher helps implement a curriculum-based program, supports social-emotional development, and maintains a safe, nurturing classroom. Responsibilities include assisting with lesson activities, supervising children, supporting daily routines, communicating positively with families, and collaborating with Lead Teachers and staff. This role offers hands-on experience, professional growth, and a supportive, education-focused culture dedicated to child development and school readiness.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing curriculum-based activities for infants through preschoolers
• Support children's social and emotional development and positive behavior
• Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
• Supervise children during classroom activities, meals, and playtime
• Support daily routines including transitions, rest, and hygiene
• Communicate positively and professionally with children and families
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers and staff to support lesson plans and goals
• Assist with classroom organization, set-up, and instructional materials
• Follow health, safety, and center policies and procedures
• Participate in training and professional development as required
