Assistant Teacher

The Learning Experience Corp - Cypress Northpointe is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support high-quality early childhood education for infants through kindergarten. In this role, you'll assist the lead teacher with implementing a play-based, proprietary curriculum, guiding children through daily routines, and promoting social, emotional, and academic growth. You will help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom, supervise indoor and outdoor play, and support individualized learning. The Assistant Teacher will communicate positively with families, follow center policies and licensing standards, document child progress, and collaborate closely with a supportive, child-centered team.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of a play-based early childhood curriculum for infants through kindergarten
• Assist with classroom routines, activities, and small group learning
• Supervise children during indoor and outdoor play to ensure safety
• Maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing classroom environment
• Support social, emotional, and academic development for each child
• Follow center policies, procedures, and state licensing regulations
• Communicate positively with children, families, and staff
• Document observations and support child progress reporting
• Assist with behavior guidance using positive, developmentally appropriate strategies
• Collaborate with the teaching team and participate in training and meetings
