Scheduler
A. O. Smith is seeking a Scheduler I to support our manufacturing operations by planning and maintaining efficient production schedules for water heaters, boilers, and water treatment products. In this performance-driven, safety-focused environment, you will coordinate materials, capacity, and labor to meet customer demand while supporting on-time delivery and quality goals. Working closely with production, purchasing, and logistics, you'll monitor work orders, adjust schedules to address constraints, and leverage ERP/MRP systems to keep data accurate and current. Responsibilities
- Create and maintain production schedules for water heater and boiler manufacturing lines
- Coordinate material availability, capacity, and labor requirements to meet customer demand
- Monitor work orders, lead times, and production status; adjust schedules to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics to resolve constraints or delays
- Analyze schedule performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Use ERP/MRP systems to update orders, inventory status, and schedule changes
- Communicate priorities and changes to supervisors, planners, and floor personnel
- Support on-time delivery, safety, and quality goals aligned with A. O. Smith standards
