Electrician

Plains is seeking an Electrician to support safe, reliable operation of our pipeline, storage, and terminal facilities. Based in the Houston area, this role installs, maintains, and troubleshoots industrial electrical systems, including motors, switchgear, controls, and instrumentation in a field/on-site environment. The Electrician performs preventive and corrective maintenance, responds to equipment issues, and helps ensure compliance with NEC, safety, and environmental standards. You'll work closely with operations and maintenance teams in a performance-driven, safety-focused culture with strong long-term career opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems for pipeline, terminal, and storage facilities
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, switchgear, controls, and instrumentation
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and respond to alarms and equipment outages to restore operations safely
• Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications to plan and execute work
• Conduct testing, calibration, and verification to ensure regulatory and company compliance
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and safety teams to support reliable system performance
• Document work performed, parts used, and inspection results in maintenance systems
• Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and electrical codes and standards
