Baptist Urgent Care is seeking an X-Ray Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic radiologic procedures, ensure image quality, follow safety protocols, and support clinical staff in delivering prompt, patient-centered care. You'll interact with diverse patients, verify orders, maintain equipment, and document results accurately. Responsibilities

  • Perform routine diagnostic X-ray examinations according to provider orders and established protocols
  • Position patients correctly and safely to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
  • Operate and troubleshoot digital radiographic equipment and related imaging systems, including PACSVerify patient identity, review imaging orders, and document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record
  • Adhere to radiation safety standards and ALARA principles, using appropriate shielding and protective measures
  • Maintain strict infection prevention practices and ensure a clean, safe imaging environment
  • Collaborate with providers, nurses, and other staff to prioritize imaging studies and support efficient patient flow
  • Recognize and promptly communicate urgent or unexpected findings to the appropriate clinical staff
  • Provide clear explanations and compassionate support to patients and families before, during, and after procedures
  • Participate in routine equipment checks, quality control activities, and reporting of maintenance needs
  • Assist with basic clinical support tasks within scope of practice, as needed, to support the care team
