Advanced Radiologic Technologist

Physicians Care, a nonprofit clinic serving uninsured adults in Cobb County, seeks a Radiologic Technologist to support diagnostic care in our Healthcare & Medical Services department. Responsibilities include performing high-quality radiographic exams, ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging equipment, and collaborating with physicians and clinical staff. Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiologic imaging exams for adult patients according to provider orders and established protocols.
• Prepare and position patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring comfort, dignity, and safety.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and care for radiologic equipment, reporting any issues according to clinic procedures.
• Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines to minimize exposure for patients, self, and staff.
• Adhere to infection control standards and maintain a clean, safe imaging environment.
• Verify patient identity, review exam indications, and document all procedures accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to coordinate patient care and clarify imaging needs.
• Recognize and promptly communicate urgent or unexpected findings according to clinic protocols.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities related to imaging services.
• Provide clear explanations of procedures, answer patient questions, and support patients who may be anxious or in pain.
• Support clinic efforts to improve community health outcomes and reduce unnecessary ER utilization.
