Urgent Team is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, support clinical staff, and ensure patient comfort and safety in a fast-paced urgent and family care setting. You'll work collaboratively with providers and nurses to deliver timely, accurate results while maintaining strict adherence to safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray exams according to provider orders and established imaging protocols
- Prepare, position, and instruct patients to obtain accurate, high-quality images
- Operate digital radiography equipment and related systems safely and effectively
- Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards for patients and staff
- Verify patient identification, exam orders, and relevant clinical history prior to imaging
- Capture, review, and submit images to PACS, ensuring appropriate labeling and documentation
- Document procedures and findings accurately in the electronic medical record
- Assist providers and nurses by coordinating imaging with patient flow and treatment plans
- Maintain exam rooms and imaging areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Perform basic quality control and equipment checks; report malfunctions promptly
- Follow infection control and universal precautions at all times
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and families about procedures
- Support clinical staff with basic patient care tasks as appropriate during busy periods
- Participate in team huddles, training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to organizational policies, regulatory standards, and professional ethics
