Physicians Care, a nonprofit clinic serving uninsured adults in Cobb County, is seeking a Radiology Tech to support high-quality diagnostic services. Responsibilities include performing routine diagnostic imaging exams, ensuring accurate image quality, maintaining equipment, and following all safety and infection-control protocols. The Radiology Tech will collaborate closely with medical providers, assist with patient preparation and education, and maintain detailed records. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations for adult patients according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Prepare, position, and instruct patients to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring comfort and safety
  • Operate and maintain digital radiography equipment and related imaging systems, including PACSApply radiation safety principles and ALARA guidelines to minimize exposure for patients, staff, and self
  • Verify patient identity, review relevant history, and confirm exam orders prior to imaging
  • Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and completeness; repeat images when clinically necessary
  • Document procedures and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record and imaging systems
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other staff to prioritize imaging needs and support patient care plans
  • Assist patients with mobility and transfers related to radiology procedures, ensuring safe practices and proper body mechanics
  • Follow infection control and clinic safety policies, including cleaning and disinfection of equipment and exam areas
  • Participate in quality control, equipment checks, and coordination of service or repairs as needed
