Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist

Physicians Care, a nonprofit clinic serving uninsured adults in Cobb County, seeks a Radiology / Limited License X-Ray Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging in a compassionate, community-focused setting. The technologist will perform limited-scope X-rays, ensure radiation safety, and support providers with accurate imaging to guide treatment. Responsibilities include patient preparation and positioning, equipment operation, image quality review, and documentation in the EHR. This on-site role collaborates closely with medical, dental, and pharmacy teams and offers the opportunity to impact underserved patients, gain nonprofit experience, and work in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited-scope diagnostic X-rays per provider orders and state regulations
• Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety
• Apply radiation safety standards and maintain proper equipment settings
• Capture, review, and transmit high-quality images via digital systems/PACSMaintain exam rooms, supplies, and infection control standards
• Document procedures accurately in EHR and support clinical workflows
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and volunteers to coordinate patient care
• Support front- and back-office clinic operations as needed in a nonprofit setting
