Urgent Team is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician to join our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure accurate image quality, and support providers in delivering prompt, compassionate care. You will verify patient history, follow safety and radiation protection protocols, and maintain imaging equipment and records. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams according to provider orders and established protocols in an urgent care setting
- Prepare, identify, and position patients properly, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort, privacy, and safety at all times
- Apply radiation safety and ALARA principles, using appropriate shielding and exposure techniques to protect patients and staff
- Evaluate images for proper technique, positioning, and clarity before releasing to providers via PACSAccurately document procedures and maintain patient records within the electronic medical record and imaging systems
- Follow infection control, equipment cleaning, and environmental safety standards in all imaging and clinical areas
- Conduct routine equipment checks and assist in basic troubleshooting, promptly reporting any malfunctions or safety concerns
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and timely care delivery
- Assist with basic clinical tasks within scope of practice, such as obtaining vital signs and assisting patients with mobility or positioning
- Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and quality improvement activities to support Urgent Team's standards of care and regulatory compliance
