Physicians Care, a nonprofit clinic serving uninsured adults in Cobb County, GA, seeks an ARRT Radiology Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic radiographic exams, ensure high-quality imaging, follow radiation safety protocols, and maintain accurate documentation. You'll collaborate closely with providers to support diagnosis and treatment, while delivering compassionate, patient-centered care. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations according to provider orders and established protocols.
  • Position patients correctly and safely to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining patient comfort and privacy.
  • Operate digital radiography equipment, ensuring proper exposure settings and adherence to radiation safety standards.
  • Verify patient identity and exam orders, obtain relevant history, and explain procedures in clear, compassionate language.
  • Apply appropriate shielding and follow all radiation protection and infection control guidelines for patients and staff.
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and completeness before releasing patients and submitting studies for provider review.
  • Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record, including technical factors and any notable clinical observations within scope.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the radiology area, including cleaning equipment between patients and monitoring supplies.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other clinic staff to coordinate patient flow and support timely, efficient care.
  • Support the mission and values of Physicians Care by treating all patients with respect, empathy, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and quality improvement activities related to imaging and clinic operations.
