Urgent Team is seeking a Radiology Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. Responsibilities
- Perform routine diagnostic radiographic examinations according to provider orders and established protocols
- Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, obtain history as needed, and explain procedures to patients and families
- Position patients correctly and adjust equipment settings to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
- Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) and adhere to all federal, state, and organizational safety regulations
- Operate digital radiography equipment and utilize PACS to capture, process, and transmit images for provider review
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) and ensure proper exam labeling and patient data entry
- Monitor patients during and after imaging for safety and comfort, and promptly report any changes in condition to providers or nursing staff
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms, ensuring adherence to infection control and standard precautions
- Perform basic equipment checks and report malfunctions or safety concerns to appropriate personnel
- Assist clinical staff with basic patient care tasks within scope, such as obtaining vital signs or helping with patient flow, as needed
- Collaborate with providers, nurses, and front-desk staff to support efficient clinic operations and excellent patient experience
- Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and quality improvement efforts related to imaging and patient care
