Radiology tech

Urgent Team is seeking a Radiology Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, support urgent and family care providers, and ensure high-quality, compassionate patient care. Responsibilities

• Perform routine diagnostic radiographic examinations according to provider orders and established protocols
• Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, obtain history as needed, and explain procedures to patients and families
• Position patients correctly and adjust equipment settings to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure
• Apply radiation safety principles (ALARA) and adhere to all federal, state, and organizational safety regulations
• Operate digital radiography equipment and utilize PACS to capture, process, and transmit images for provider review
• Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) and ensure proper exam labeling and patient data entry
• Monitor patients during and after imaging for safety and comfort, and promptly report any changes in condition to providers or nursing staff
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of imaging rooms, ensuring adherence to infection control and standard precautions
• Perform basic equipment checks and report malfunctions or safety concerns to appropriate personnel
• Assist clinical staff with basic patient care tasks within scope, such as obtaining vital signs or helping with patient flow, as needed
• Collaborate with providers, nurses, and front-desk staff to support efficient clinic operations and excellent patient experience
• Participate in ongoing training, competency assessments, and quality improvement efforts related to imaging and patient care
