Urgent Team is seeking an ARRT Radiology Technologist for our Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you'll perform high-quality diagnostic imaging, support providers with patient assessments, and ensure accurate documentation in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You'll educate patients on procedures, maintain equipment and safety standards, and collaborate closely with a supportive clinical team. Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with physician orders, established protocols, and regulatory standards.
- Position patients accurately and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while minimizing radiation exposure.
- Apply radiation safety principles and ALARA standards for patients, staff, and self, including proper shielding and technique selection.
- Verify patient identity, review imaging orders, and confirm relevant clinical information prior to each exam.
- Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients and families, addressing questions and promoting comfort during imaging exams.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to support overall patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
- Document exams and patient information accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and imaging systems.
- Assist with basic clinical tasks within scope of practice, such as obtaining vital signs, rooming patients, and preparing exam rooms.
- Maintain imaging equipment, accessories, and exam rooms in a clean, safe, and organized condition, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Follow infection prevention and safety protocols, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment and cleaning procedures.
- Contribute to a culture of teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement by communicating effectively with colleagues and leadership.
