Valley Springs Behavioral Health Hospital seeks a Therapist, Behavioral Health to provide outpatient individual and group therapy for adults and adolescents. In this patient-centered, collaborative setting, you will complete biopsychosocial assessments, develop evidence-based treatment plans, and provide crisis intervention and safety planning. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care, support discharge planning, and promote recovery. This role offers the opportunity to impact community mental health while expanding skills in acute and outpatient behavioral healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient individual and group therapy using evidence-based modalities for adults and adolescents with behavioral health needs.
  • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments, develop person-centered treatment plans, and regularly update progress notes in the EMR.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other team members to coordinate comprehensive care and discharge planning.
  • Deliver crisis intervention, risk assessments, and safety planning for patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms.
  • Educate patients and families on coping skills, psychoeducation topics, and community resources to support recovery.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings, case conferences, and quality-improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance with legal, ethical, and documentation standards, including HIPAA and hospital policies.
  • Engage in outcomes tracking, data-informed practice, and continuous professional development.
