X-ray Tech
Ascension is seeking an X-Ray Tech to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this patient-focused role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams, ensuring accurate imaging and radiation safety while providing compassionate, respectful care. Responsibilities include preparing and positioning patients, operating X-ray equipment, documenting exams in EMR/PACS, and collaborating with radiologists and care teams. You will uphold infection control, regulatory, and safety standards, and participate in ongoing learning. Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality diagnostic X-ray exams following physician orders and established protocols
- Ensure radiation safety for patients, self, and staff through proper shielding and technique
- Prepare, position, and educate patients to obtain optimal diagnostic images with compassion and respect
- Verify patient identification, review medical history, and document procedures accurately in EMR/PACSCollaborate with radiologists, nurses, and providers to support timely, accurate diagnoses
- Maintain and troubleshoot X-ray equipment, reporting issues and ensuring cleanliness and readiness
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards at all times
- Support continuous learning and contribute to a respectful, inclusive care environment
