Diesel Technician

Sarasota Ford is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain Ford diesel trucks and fleet vehicles in our busy Sarasota service department. In this full-time role, you'll perform advanced engine, drivetrain, electrical, and emissions work, complete multipoint inspections, and ensure high-quality, timely repairs. You'll use factory-approved tools and information systems, document work accurately, and collaborate with advisors and teammates. Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair Ford diesel engines, drivetrains, and related systems
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and safety checks on customer and fleet vehicles
• Use factory scan tools and service information to troubleshoot complex issues
• Document all repairs, parts, and recommendations on repair orders accurately
• Collaborate with service advisors to communicate findings and timelines to customers
• Follow Ford and dealership quality, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Support teammates, share technical knowledge, and assist with difficult diagnostics
• Participate in ongoing training and certifications to stay current on Ford diesel technology
