Guy Smith Home Services in Rocky Mount, NC seeks an HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, maintain, and install residential heating and cooling systems. You'll handle service calls locally, perform tune-ups, recommend solutions, and ensure safe, code-compliant work. Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair residential HVAC systems including furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners
  • Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections to improve performance and lifespan
  • Install and replace HVAC equipment, components, and accessories according to code and company standards
  • Communicate clearly with homeowners about findings, options, pricing, and maintenance recommendations
  • Document work performed, parts used, and system conditions in service tickets or mobile apps
  • Follow safety procedures and local codes while working in homes, attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors
  • Maintain a clean work area and treat customers' homes with respect and care
  • Collaborate with dispatch and team members to schedule jobs and ensure timely service
  • Participate in ongoing training to expand skills in HVAC, and cross-train in plumbing and electrical as needed
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory in good working order
