Toddler Teacher

Merryhill School is seeking a caring Toddler Teacher to nurture children ages 18-36 months in a safe, engaging classroom. You will design developmentally appropriate, play-based lessons that build language, social-emotional, and motor skills, while supporting each child's individual growth. In our close-knit, student-centered community, you'll collaborate with families and colleagues, maintain a well-organized and compliant classroom, and participate in ongoing professional development within our larger Spring Education Group network.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for toddlers aligned with school standards
• Create a warm, safe, and nurturing classroom that supports social, emotional, and cognitive growth
• Observe, document, and communicate each child's progress to families on a regular basis
• Maintain open, professional communication and strong partnerships with parents and caregivers
• Ensure constant supervision, health, and safety of children, following all licensing regulations
• Use play-based and hands-on learning to build early language, motor, and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and school leadership to support a cohesive learning environment
• Participate in professional development and training to refine early childhood teaching practices
• Manage daily routines including meals, rest time, and transitions smoothly and positively
• Maintain accurate records, classroom cleanliness, and compliance with school and state policies
