Senior Accountant

Mom's Meals is seeking a Senior Accountant to support our mission of nourishing vulnerable individuals nationwide. Based in Ankeny, IA, this role oversees month-end close, financial reporting, and analysis for our meal production and delivery operations. You will prepare GAAP-compliant statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and maintain strong internal controls. Partnering with operations, supply chain, and leadership, you'll provide insights that improve cost efficiency, margin, and financial performance in a fast-paced, quality- and safety-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and year-end close, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements and management reports for leadership
• Maintain cost accounting and margin analysis for meal production and distribution
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis across departments
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company accounting policies
• Coordinate with auditors and support annual audits and tax preparations
• Improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and system efficiencies
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and finance to support business decisions
