Veteran Program Coordinator

Action Health Staffing is seeking a Veteran Program Coordinator to connect military veterans with healthcare and home care opportunities across North Carolina. In this role, you'll recruit, onboard, and support veteran caregivers, align them with clinical and home care assignments, and coordinate resources that ease their transition to civilian healthcare roles. You'll collaborate closely with our staffing team, maintain veteran-focused outreach partnerships, track program outcomes, and ensure high standards of professionalism, communication, and compassionate care for both clients and veteran staff.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and onboard veteran caregivers for clinical and home care assignments
• Match veterans to appropriate healthcare and home care placements across NCProvide ongoing support, check-ins, and problem-solving for veteran staff
• Develop and maintain partnerships with military, VA, and community organizations
• Coordinate outreach events and information sessions for veterans
• Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and credentialing for all veteran hires
• Collaborate with internal staffing teams to forecast and fill client needs with veteran talent
• Track, analyze, and report on program performance and placement outcomes
• Educate internal staff and clients on the value of hiring veterans
• Promote a culture of respect, open communication, and professionalism for veteran caregivers
