CDL Driver-Local

PODS is seeking a Local CDL Driver to safely deliver and pick up portable storage containers for residential and commercial customers. In this role, you'll operate company trucks on local routes, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, and ensure containers are properly loaded, secured, and positioned. You'll interact directly with customers, provide courteous service, and represent PODS' customer-first, safety-focused culture. Drivers follow assigned routes, maintain accurate delivery documentation, communicate with dispatch, and support yard operations, all while upholding DOT and company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate CDL-class trucks to deliver and pick up PODS containers on local routes
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
• Secure, load, and unload containers following safety and weight guidelines
• Follow assigned daily schedules, routes, and delivery instructions using routing tools
• Provide courteous, professional service at customer sites, answering basic questions
• Complete required delivery, pickup, and mileage documentation accurately
• Adhere to DOT, company, and safety regulations at all times
• Communicate with dispatch and operations about delays, issues, and route changes
• Maintain a clean, organized vehicle and represent PODS in a professional manner
• Assist with yard organization and basic equipment checks as needed
