Boston Children's Hospital seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Neurology team caring for pediatric patients with complex neurologic conditions. In this role, you will perform comprehensive assessments, manage acute and chronic neurologic disorders, order and interpret diagnostic studies, and develop evidence-based care plans. You will educate and support patients and families, collaborate with neurologists and interdisciplinary teams, participate in quality improvement and teaching, and contribute to our mission of advancing pediatric neurological care and innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive evaluation and management of pediatric neurology patients in inpatient and/or outpatient settings
  • Order, perform, and interpret neurologic diagnostic studies and laboratory tests
  • Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans, including medication management and follow-up care
  • Educate and counsel patients and families on neurologic conditions, treatments, and long-term care strategies
  • Collaborate with neurologists, nurses, therapists, and other team members to coordinate multidisciplinary care
  • Participate in quality improvement, clinical protocols, and neurology service initiatives
  • Document all care in the electronic health record in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
  • Support teaching of residents, fellows, students, and new staff as part of an academic medical center environment

  • Ordering and interpreting neurodiagnostic tests (EEG, MRI, CT)
