West Ridge Animal Hospital in Klamath Falls, OR seeks a full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our small-animal practice. You'll provide preventive care, internal medicine, dentistry, soft-tissue surgery, and urgent care for dogs and cats in a fully equipped, team-oriented hospital. Responsibilities include diagnostics, treatment planning, anesthesia, medical recordkeeping, and clear, compassionate client communication. You'll collaborate closely with experienced doctors and technicians, receive mentorship, and contribute to a respectful, learning-focused culture dedicated to high-quality medicine and excellent client service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care for dogs and cats
  • Perform physical exams, develop diagnostic and treatment plans, and interpret lab and imaging results
  • Conduct routine and soft-tissue surgical procedures with safe anesthesia and pain management
  • Deliver preventive care, including vaccinations, wellness screenings, and client education
  • Manage urgent and non-critical emergency cases, including triage and stabilization
  • Maintain accurate, timely electronic medical records and treatment notes
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients about diagnoses, options, and follow-up care
  • Collaborate with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Participate in hospital protocols, quality improvement, and a culture of continuous learning
  • Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory standards, including safety and infection control
