Pharmacy Technician

Join Giant Eagle as a Pharmacy Technician Trainee and support our in-store pharmacies in delivering safe, friendly, and accurate service to our communities. Under the guidance of a licensed pharmacist, you'll assist with prescription intake, data entry, medication counting and labeling, and customer service at the pharmacy counter. You'll learn pharmacy operations, inventory control, and compliance standards, while building skills for future Technician roles. Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists with prescription intake, data entry, and filling under direct supervision
• Count, label, and package medications accurately following safety and quality standards
• Greet and assist customers, answering basic questions and directing clinical inquiries to the pharmacist
• Process payments, handle insurance claims, and resolve basic billing issues
• Maintain pharmacy inventory, stock shelves, and monitor expiration dates
• Follow all HIPAA, company, and state regulations and procedures
• Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to become a licensed Pharmacy Technician
