Diesel PM Tech

Waste Connections is hiring a Diesel PM Tech to perform preventative maintenance and light repairs on our waste collection fleet. In this safety-focused role, you'll complete scheduled services, inspections, fluid changes, and minor mechanical work on diesel trucks to keep them road-ready and DOT compliant. Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, including fluid changes, filters, and inspections
• Conduct basic mechanical repairs on brakes, suspension, electrical, and lighting systems
• Complete DOT and safety inspections and document findings accurately
• Maintain accurate work orders, service records, and parts usage in fleet systems
• Follow all safety, environmental, and housekeeping standards in the shop and yard
• Communicate equipment status, issues, and repair needs with supervisors and drivers
• Use diagnostic tools and manuals to identify minor equipment issues early
• Support a clean, organized, and efficient work area and assist other technicians as needed
