Maintenance Mechanic I

Durez Corporation seeks a Maintenance Mechanic I to support safe, reliable operation of manufacturing equipment used in advanced thermoset molding compounds and phenolic resins production. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on pumps, mixers, conveyors, reactors, and support systems, troubleshoot equipment failures, and assist with mechanical installations and upgrades. You'll follow strict safety and quality procedures, document maintenance activities, and work closely with production and engineering to reduce downtime and improve processes in a stable, team oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and support systems
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues on pumps, motors, mixers, conveyors, and related machinery
• Support equipment installations, rebuilds, and upgrades to improve reliability and performance
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and quality procedures in a chemical manufacturing environment
• Use CMMS or maintenance logs to document work performed and parts used
• Collaborate with production and engineering to minimize downtime and improve processes
• Inspect equipment regularly to identify wear, leaks, and potential failures
• Assist with basic welding, fabrication, and alignment tasks as required
• Maintain tools, work areas, and equipment in safe, orderly condition
• Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
