The University of Vermont Health Network seeks an MRI Technologist II or III to provide high quality MRI imaging for diverse patient populations. In this role, you will perform routine and advanced MRI exams, operate state of the art scanners, and ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning. You'll collaborate closely with radiologists and multidisciplinary teams, support training of junior staff, and participate in quality and protocol optimization within our academic, evidence based, and patient centered environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and advanced MRI examinations following physician orders and established protocols
  • Operate and troubleshoot MRI scanners and related imaging equipment safely and efficiently
  • Screen patients for MRI safety, obtain histories, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation
  • Position patients accurately to optimize image quality while maintaining safety and privacy
  • Apply radiation safety and infection control standards in all imaging areas
  • Review images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists on additional views or sequences
  • Document procedures, patient information, and imaging data accurately in the electronic health record
  • Support training and mentoring of junior technologists and students
  • Participate in quality improvement, protocol optimization, and departmental initiatives
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary care teams to coordinate timely, patient-centered imaging care
