Machine Operator

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to run high-speed manufacturing equipment producing rigid plastic containers. You will set up, operate, and adjust machines, monitor line performance, perform quality checks, and complete basic mechanical troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Responsibilities include following detailed work instructions, recording production data, and safely handling materials and finished goods. You'll support housekeeping and 5S standards while collaborating with maintenance, quality, and production teams. This role operates in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment with opportunities to learn advanced manufacturing and recycling technologies.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate high-speed plastic packaging machinery
• Monitor production lines and adjust settings to maintain quality and efficiency
• Perform routine quality inspections and measurements on finished products
• Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate complex problems
• Follow all safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment
• Record production data, downtime, and material usage accurately
• Handle raw materials and finished goods, including loading and unloading
• Maintain clean, organized work area and support 5

• Collaborate with maintenance, quality, and production teams to meet targets
