Machine Operator

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks a Machine Operator to run high-speed manufacturing equipment producing rigid plastic containers. In this role, you'll set up, operate, and monitor extrusion and molding lines, perform quality checks, and make adjustments to maintain safety, efficiency, and product specifications. You'll complete routine equipment changeovers, basic troubleshooting, and minor maintenance while following 5S and safety procedures. Working in a team environment, you'll record production data, support continuous improvement initiatives, and help ensure on-time delivery of quality, sustainable packaging for global brands.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor plastic extrusion and molding machines
• Perform in-process quality inspections and measurements to meet specifications
• Adjust machine settings to maintain safety, efficiency, and product quality
• Complete changeovers, startups, and shutdowns per standard procedures
• Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and perform minor preventive maintenance
• Follow all safety, housekeeping, and 5
• S standards in the production area
• Accurately record production, downtime, and quality data in logs or systems
• Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production targets
• Support continuous improvement and waste reduction initiatives
• Handle raw materials and finished goods according to company and customer standards
