Manufacturing Production Technician

Plastipak Packaging, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Production Technician to support high-volume plastic packaging operations. In this role, you will set up, operate, and monitor production and recycling equipment used to manufacture PET and HDPE containers. Responsibilities include performing quality checks, completing line changeovers, basic mechanical troubleshooting, and routine preventive maintenance to ensure safe, efficient operation. You will document production data, follow strict safety and cleanliness standards, and collaborate with team members to drive continuous improvement and support Plastipak's innovation and sustainability goals.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment for plastic container manufacturing
• Perform routine quality checks and inspections on PET and HDPE containers
• Conduct basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs on production lines
• Support line changeovers, setups, and adjustments to meet production schedules
• Complete preventive maintenance tasks and follow equipment care procedures
• Record production data, downtime, and quality results in required systems or logs
• Follow all plant safety, housekeeping, and environmental regulations
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to improve processes and reduce waste
• Identify and escalate equipment, safety, or quality issues promptly
• Support continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives in manufacturing and recycling operations
