The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in community health and medical innovation based in Burlington, VT, is seeking a skilled Radiology Tech specialized in Osteoporosis to join our team of healthcare professionals. This position entails providing high-quality imaging services, primarily focusing on bone density scans and related diagnostic procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis and other bone-related conditions. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating radiographic equipment, maintaining patient safety, and contributing to our mission of enhancing the health standards of our community through cutting-edge medical care.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain radiology imaging equipment, primarily DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) machines.
  • Conduct bone density tests and other radiographic examinations as requested by medical staff.
  • Interpret data and assist physicians in diagnosing bone health issues.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all patients during procedures.
  • Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to confidentiality guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with radiology practices and technologies.

Required Skills
