Railyard Gate Clerk

ConGlobal is hiring a Railyard Gate Clerk to support safe, efficient operations in our intermodal rail terminal. In this fast-paced, outdoor environment, you will check in and out trucks, containers, and trailers, verify documents and seals, and accurately enter move data into yard and terminal systems. You will communicate frequently with drivers, dispatch, and yard crews to keep freight flowing, support security and safety procedures, and help resolve documentation issues. This hands-on role offers growth opportunities in logistics and terminal operations within a collaborative, safety-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Check in and out trucks, containers, and trailers at the railyard gate
• Verify shipping documents, seals, IDs, and load information for accuracy
• Enter and update move details in terminal and yard management systems
• Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and yard personnel via radio and phone
• Monitor gate activity to ensure safety, security, and flow of traffic
• Perform basic inspections and record container and chassis conditions
• Resolve documentation or load discrepancies in coordination with operations
• Follow all safety, security, and compliance procedures at the terminal
• Assist with reporting, logs, and shift handoff documentation
• Provide professional customer service to drivers and carrier partners
