Reefer Shop Supervisor

ConGlobal is seeking a Reefer Shop Supervisor to lead daily maintenance and repair operations for refrigerated containers and equipment in a busy intermodal terminal. This hands-on role oversees technicians, assigns work, and ensures safe, timely, and high-quality repairs that keep customers' cargo moving. The supervisor manages shop workflow, parts, and documentation while enforcing safety standards and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate with operations and customer teams, troubleshoot complex reefer issues, train staff, and support a culture of accountability, reliability, and professional growth.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily reefer shop operations and technician workload
• Diagnose and repair refrigerated containers and related equipment
• Plan and monitor preventive maintenance and inspections
• Enforce safety, environmental, and OSHA standards
• Review and approve work orders, estimates, and repair documentation
• Coordinate with terminal, rail, and trucking teams to prioritize work
• Manage parts inventory and support vendor relationships
• Train, mentor, and evaluate shop staff performance
• Monitor quality of repairs and implement process improvements
• Support customer service by addressing repair status and technical issues
