Critical Care RN/RT

Methodist Health System seeks a Critical Care RN/RT to deliver high-acuity care in our intensive and progressive care units. In this role, you will assess, plan, and implement evidence-based interventions for critically ill patients, manage complex ventilator and hemodynamic support, and respond to rapid changes in patient status. You will collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes, ensure safe transitions of care, and support families with clear, compassionate communication. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for critically ill patients.
• Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and advanced airway support per physician orders and protocols.
• Monitor hemodynamics, interpret clinical data, and adjust interventions to stabilize patient status.
• Administer medications, including titratable IV drips, safely and accurately.
• Participate in rapid responses, codes, and emergency interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians, RTs, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members on care plans.
• Educate and support patients and families, communicating changes in condition and plan of care.
• Document all care, assessments, and interventions accurately in the EMR.
• Follow strict infection prevention, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development, competencies, and unit-based quality initiatives.
