Occupational Therapist

Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our Inpatient Spinal Cord & Neuromuscular Team. In this role, you will provide comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based interventions to support patients with complex neurological and spinal conditions in regaining function and independence. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and contribute to care planning and discharge readiness. Responsibilities

• Evaluate spinal cord and neuromuscular inpatients to determine functional deficits and rehab needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility, ADLs, and independence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, PTs, SLPs, and case managers on coordinated care plans
• Educate patients and families on adaptive techniques, equipment, and home programs
• Document assessments, progress notes, and outcomes in the EMR accurately and timely
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and quality standards
• Mentor students or new therapists as needed and contribute to program development
