Registered Nurse Catheterization Lab

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a specialized setting, administering medications and monitoring patient status.
• Assist cardiologists during procedures such as cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, and implantations of cardiac devices.
• Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and post-care requirements.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions as appropriate, using computerized documentation systems.
• Actively participate in discussions regarding patient's treatment plans and progress.
• Ensure the cath lab is properly stocked and prepared for procedures.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a sterile environment and ensure patient safety.
