Essentia Health is seeking a compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this patient-centered role, you will assess and treat speech, language, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders across diverse populations in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. Responsibilities include evidence-based evaluation and treatment, clear EMR documentation, and active family education. Responsibilities
- Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing, and cognitive-communication disorders across the lifespan
- Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
- Document evaluations, goals, and progress in the EMR in a timely, accurate manner
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation, and other care team members to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment strategies, and home programs
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical initiatives, and interdisciplinary case conferences
- Provide services in both inpatient and outpatient or home-health settings as assigned
- Supervise and mentor students or clinical fellows as appropriate
- Maintain licensure and certifications through ongoing continuing education
- Contribute to a compassionate, culturally responsive, patient-centered care environment
