The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform high quality diagnostic imaging for patients across Vermont and northern New York. In this role, you'll position patients, operate radiographic equipment, and ensure radiation safety while supporting evidence based, patient centered care. You'll collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary teams, use advanced imaging technology, maintain accurate documentation, and follow regulatory standards in a learning-focused, mission driven academic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiologic exams following physician orders and safety protocols
- Position patients and operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Verify patient identification, explain procedures, and ensure comfort and safety
- Apply radiation protection standards for patients, self, and clinical staff
- Review images for diagnostic quality and collaborate with radiologists on findings
- Document procedures, maintain accurate records, and manage PACS workflow
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and report issues with radiologic equipment
- Follow infection control, regulatory, and accreditation standards
- Support training of students and new staff in imaging procedures
