The University of Vermont Health Network seeks a Diagnostic Imaging/CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT and general diagnostic imaging for diverse patient populations. Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret high-quality diagnostic imaging and CT scans following physician orders and established protocols.
- Prepare, position, and monitor patients to ensure safety, comfort, and optimal image quality during procedures.
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced imaging equipment, ensuring proper calibration and radiation safety standards.
- Review images for diagnostic adequacy and collaborate with radiologists and providers on next steps in care.
- Document procedures, maintain accurate patient records, and comply with regulatory and hospital policies.
- Educate patients and families about imaging procedures, contrast use, and post-exam expectations.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and allied health staff in a multidisciplinary, academic care environment.
- Support quality improvement, safety initiatives, and adoption of evidence-based imaging practices.
- Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing training, competencies, and professional development.
- Assist with workflow prioritization, including emergent and inpatient exams, to ensure timely patient care.
