Registered Nurse Mom/Baby

Ascension is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse for our Mom/Baby unit. In this role, you will provide post-partum care to mothers and newborns, including assessments, medication administration, breastfeeding support, and discharge teaching. You will collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, lactation consultants, and support staff to ensure safe, family-centered care. RNs will monitor vital signs, recognize and respond to complications, and document in the electronic health record. Responsibilities

• Provide post-partum nursing care to mothers and newborns
• Perform maternal and newborn assessments and monitor vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders
• Support breastfeeding and infant feeding, coordinating with lactation consultants
• Educate families on newborn care, safety, and post-partum recovery
• Recognize and respond to complications, escalating care as needed
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EHRCollaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain infection control and patient safety standards
• Participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives
